Ben held roles as the BBC's Commissioning Editor for Features, Director of Programmes at Channel 5 and worked in the independent sector at companies including Maverick, Wall-to-Wall and Lion TV. He was Series Editor of the first series of Who Do You Think You Are? and the BBC's Executive Producer of the first Bafta winning series of The Choir. He commissioned hits including Don't Tell the Bride, The Real Hustle and Nigella Express. While running BBC Bristol Factual he oversaw the creation of DIY SOS: The Big Build, the launch of Nigel Slater on BBC ONE and the multi-award winning Protecting Our Children on BBC TWO. While Director of Programmes at Maverick, Ben Executive Produced BBC Three's Growing Up Down's which won Groundbreaking Programme at the CDN Awards and was nominated for an International Emmy.
